About IQAC TU
In pursuance of the notification of the UGC. F.No.20-1/2009(IUC), its Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the Honorable Vice Chancellor, Tripura University established the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The IQAC committee was constituted with the Director, IQAC as the member secretary following the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. The quality enhancement of the Tripura University and Higher Education Institutes (HEI) affiliated to the Tripura Universities is a continuous process, so the IQAC will become a part of the Tripura University’s system and work towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.
Vision
- To establish Tripura University as a centre of academic excellence by fostering a culture of continuous quality assurance through inclusiveness and integrity in teaching, learning, research, innovation and administration.
Mission
- To promote a quality driven academic environment that encourages self-evaluation, accountability and participatory learning in consonance with the principle of National Education Policy 2020.
- To promote the academic environment to strengthen the quality of teaching-learning and evaluation at Tripura University with the digitalization of the evaluation and examination process.
- To strengthen research, innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development and consultancy for societal development.
- To collaborate with all stakeholders of the University for the sustained enhancement of higher education standards through regular curriculum enrichment.
- Democratic administration to gear up for evolving requirements, ensuring gender safety and an eco-friendly green campus.
- To institutionalize best practices through internal quality assurance measures.
