About DACE

Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence (DACE) is to empower Scheduled Caste (SC) students in competitive exams by providing better opportunities for learning and excellence through quality coaching, personality, personality development, and acquisition of competitive skills. DACE will play a significant role in the holistic development of SC students. The objective of the Scheme is to provide high quality free coaching facilities to the Scheduled Caste students for the Civil Services examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and other competitive examinations. It will empower SC candidates through good quality coaching and fulfill the goal of enhancing their competitive skills.

Mission

To create a repository of resourceful opportunities to learn, imbibe, compete and succeed through honing of skills related to adaptation, judgment and informed choice in the aspirants. This specialized coaching scheme will be provided only to the Scheduled Castes students for the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC.

Vision

To provide service to Scheduled Caste students and instill the values of honesty, commitment and social justice.

Objective

The main objective of the centre is to empower Scheduled Caste students in competitive examinations especially Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC by providing the best and free Coaching Facilities.

Details of admission procedure

Eligibility Criteria for students

(i) The candidate must hold a degree from recognised University or possess an equivalent qualification.

(ii) Age limit 21 to 37 years

(iii) Indian Citizen

(iv) Only Scheduled Caste student

(v) The candidate has not received any monetary benefit from any of the other schemes by Government of India, States/ UTs or any funding agency.

Selection Procedure

Through Common Entrance Test Conducted by the Centre as per merit. The entrance test will be based on 100 MCQs with one mark in each question. The syllabus for the Entrance test is given below:

(i) General Studies (50 marks): Indian history, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, General Science including Science & Technology, Current Affairs, Sports and General Knowledge.

(ii) General English (25 marks)

(iii) Numerical ability and Reasoning ( 25 marks)

Reservation for female student

33% of the total sanctioned seats. In case sufficient number of eligible female candidates does not apply, University may allocate the vacant seats to male/ transgender candidates.

1. One Passport size photograph

2. One Copy of Signature

3. Copy of Proof of Age Certificate (matriculation certificate)

4. Copy of Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Voter Card/ Driving License/ Passport)

5. Copy of Caste Certificate
