Experimental greenhouse (plant house)
University has established a number of experimental greenhouses (Plant house) within the campus of the University. The facility has been created with financial support from DBT/DST, Govt. of India and other Central and State government funding agencies. It allows for greater control over the growing environment of plants. Depending upon the technical specification of a greenhouse, key factors which may be controlled include temperature, levels of light and shade, irrigation, fertilizer application, and atmospheric humidity. Greenhouses may be used to overcome shortcomings in the growing qualities of a piece of land. These greenhouses provide excellent opportunity to the Research scholars as well as post graduate students for experimental purposes.
