In the era of continuing globalisation the knowledge and expertise in the field of finance and taxation has not only became the key to the success of many decision making process but has also redefined the role of manager afresh. But the conventional program fails to cater the need of the learners for their personal achievement in market economy. Keeping this in mind the present program PGDFT has been designed to expose the learner to the knowledge and understanding relevant issues and useful process of Finance and Taxation. As a result, the program basically is aimed at:  To develop a knowledge and understanding the skill in financial management and taxation practice Preparation of business plan, financial budget, Interpretation of financial statements, evaluation of projects.  To train the students in the process of Tax Planning, Procedures and Management and filing of returns and claims.  To familiarize the students in computer application in Tax Management.
