Professor, Utkal University and Prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh visited to the Department of Library and Information Science, TU and interacted with students on 18th Nov. 2017.
Prof. K. C. Panda, formerly Professor, Dean, Sambalpur University and presently Principal, College of Library and Information Science, Berhampur University, visited to the Department on 20th Dec. 2017 and advised the students in pursuing career in library science.

Ms. Joyita Saha, student BLIS, earned third prize in the Rangoli competition held on the eve of Freedom Fortnight “Azadi 70-Yaad Karo Kurbani” 2016 organised by Tripura University.
Students Activities:
Students are participating on the Swacha Bharat Abhiyan and cleaning the department premises.
Tripura University observed the Matribhasha Diwas of this year on 21 February 2017 Dr. R. K. Mahapatra, HOD, and Mr. Saumen Das, guest faculty both participated and performed odia song and bengali song respectively. Ms. Mithu Anjali Gayan, Asst. Professor put an impression on the canvas. Mr. Augustine Zimik, Asst. Professor acted as one member of the organizing committee.
